- ♦ Take a guided tour of Port Royal Seafood docks for a look into the world of local watermen
- ♦ Become acquainted with the "ins and outs" of commercial shrimping
- ♦ Learn about estuaries—what are they, how they function, and their importance
- ♦ Be introduced to the world between tide cycles and the creatures that in habit this intertidal zone at nearby Sands beach
- ♦ Learn the life cycle of shrimp and observe other estuarine species
- ♦ Hunt for shark’s teeth and fossils or learn to throw a cast net

Into the Future...
The Lowcountry Estuarium is partnering with the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce (BRCC) to develop hub-and-spoke group tour opportunities throughout Beaufort County featuring the areas many outstanding attractions.
In the near future group tour operators will be able to visit the BBCC website for a full menu of area attractions and view sample itineraries. For the client’s convenience, BRCC staff will make all reservations. Self-transport, family and small group package tours will also be available.
